Different of conjunctival follicle and papillae

Follicle consist of agregation of lymphocyte and other cells at adenoid layer. Central part consist of lymphocytes, mononuclear histiocytes and large multinucleated cells (Leber cells). Cortical part consist of agregation of cells and blood vessel more over peripheral part (sagograin appearance)






Papillae are reddish flat topped raised lesion that give tarsal plate red and velvety appearance. Each papillae consist of dilated blood vessel at centre with surrounding lymphocytes and covered by hyperthrophic epithelium.
