  1. Combination of optic disc edema and cotton wool spots (due to microinfarcts of retinal nerve fiber layer) which present few diameters from OD highly suggestive of acute hypertension.
    Without cotton wool spots, need to think other diagnosis such as optic neuritis or giant cell arteritis.
